Most enquiries open with a date and a headcount. Both matter, but neither shapes the evening as much as the questions below — which we end up asking anyway, usually a few messages later.
- Seated dinner or standing reception? The same area holds very different numbers depending on which.
- Does anyone need to speak, and does everyone need to hear it?
- Shared menu, or does the group need individual choice?
- What time does it genuinely need to end?
You may not need the whole venue
Because the floor divides into distinct areas, a private booking does not have to mean taking all of it. There are two private rooms, three enclosed VVIP booths along the west wall, and a cigar lounge set off the main floor. A smaller group can have a genuinely enclosed evening without paying for a room built for three times their number.
The most common mistake is booking for the number on the invitation rather than the number who will actually arrive.
Send the enquiry earlier than feels necessary. The areas that suit smaller groups are the first to go, and dates near the end of the year are taken months ahead.
